TA Educational

Its application in the field of education provides a systematic approach to understanding the connections between human behaviors, learning and education. It can lead to constructive changes in the education process and can help learning become a natural, interesting and self-realizing process.

TA is useful as a tool for teachers, counselors, parents, educators, trainers and students in many different forms and with widely differing population. Educators may work with children, juveniles or adults; with individuals, groups or families; at or outside of schools or colleges.

Their work is aimed at education, growth and development within the social frame of reference. Educators in the helping and teaching professions who are trained in transactional analysis have a better understanding of how to coordinate taking care of the needs of their students and the needs of schools or institutions.

Education based on TA is a contractual approach. The educator acts as a guide on a cooperative level within the specific limits of the learning goal and methods, established in the overall contract. TA educators often teach TA concepts directly to their students, to provide them with frameworks or understanding behavior and identifying opportunities for personal development. As many of the basic TA concepts are already in everyday vocabulary they can be used very successfully with people of all ages.

TA also provides concepts for analyzing and improving the teaching process and understanding the effects of human developmental stages on the learning process.

TA is regularly used in mainstream and special education, for child care providers, prison visitors, recovering addicts, adult children of alcoholics and child abusers, and in a range of self-development and personal growth settings.
