Meet the Committee 2020/22

Reena Goenka | President
Reena has been a TAA member since 2011 and served in various capacities in the past on the Executive Committee. She was also the conference Secretariat for the 4th International Transactional Analysis Conference in 2011. A registered counsellor and clinical supervisor with Singapore Association of Counselling, she is currently pursuing her journey to be a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA).

Reena is the Director and Counsellor at Incontact Counselling & Training. Her present portfolio includes counselling adults, families, couples about past childhood pains or distressing memories. She also conducts group workshops for parents, children etc.

Dr. Jessica Leong | Vice-President 
Jessica is a teaching and supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA). A founding member, she has served as TAA Singapore's President for over 20 years until March 2020. Her involvement remains steadfast and invaluable to the Association, currently advising in the capacity as Vice-President. Jessica became the first Asian Transactional Analyst to be awarded the Goulding Award for Excellence in TA Theory and Practice in February 1993 and holds the distinction of being the first certified Transactional Analyst in Singapore. 

Jessica is the CEO of the Berne TA Center Pte Ltd, JC Integra (TA) Pte Ltd, and the academic and clinical director of the Executive Counselling & Training Academy Pte Ltd (ECTA). She provides employee counselling for multi-international companies. She is the chairperson of the Supervision Board at Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).

Irene Toh | Honorary Secretary | Programs committee
Irene has been curating and managing mental health and wellness programs in both professional and volunteering capacities since 2014. She was introduced to T.A in 2018, and was an executive director for a non-profit - Singapore Creations ETC., working with children and youth on the use of Arts for self expression and mental well-being. Irene brings prior professional experiences in marketing, P.R & events management and business development in both corporate and NGO settings. Her trainings and counselling work have naturally included youths, family as well as working adults. She is a certified Cyber-Therapist (young people specialisation), a counsellor in private practice and the founding director of AWE SG, a centre providing mental health & wellness services. The secretary is also TAA's appointed Data Protection Officer.

Tommy Loke | Honorary Treasurer
FCA, FCCA, FCPA, FICA, FChFP
Tommy has been a member from the association's early years and served in various capacities in the executive committee. He is also active in community work as a grassroots leader including serving as Honorary Assist. Treasurer at the Grassroots Club. He is a mentor with ISCA, student project advisor at Singapore Management University and an adjunct lecturer with Singapore Institute of Management.

With over 20 years of experience in accounting, audit and management, Tommy is currently the Director of Business Development at Global Partners Consulting Pte Ltd. He has previously worked in a "Big Four" accounting firm and is also a member of the CFO committee with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) since April 2012. He has been a member of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) Corporate Service Providers (CSP) Working Group since 2013.

Joel Chua | ExCo member
Joel has been with TAA Singapore since 2016 and been actively involved in the ExCo over the years. A Transactional Analysis Practitioner, he was the emcee and a panelist in the 2018 TA Conference in Singapore. Joel is a psychotherapist in private practice, founder/CEO at Thryve, and a corporate trainer. He was the creator and host of a live radio talkshow in Singapore which engaged listeners on various issues pertaining to mental health, personal growth and healing, and relationships. Joel holds a Master of Social Science in Professional Counselling and certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He is experienced in counselling clients on range of issues such as work-related stress and anxiety, depression, grief, emotional trauma, and relationship issues. Joel also conducts corporate training on personal effectiveness for leaders, interpersonal communication, and psycho-emotional resilience. He has held management and managerial positions in the media, social, and private education sectors.

Kong Seet Mui | Auditor
Seet Mui was TAA past President (2012/14), she has been with the associations for more than 20-years and served in various other capacities in the ExCo prior. She holds a Master of Social Science in Professional Counselling from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Seet Mui is a registered counsellor and clinical supervisor with Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC). During the 3rd and 4th International-Singapore TA Conference, Seet Mui co-facilitated concurrent workshops entitled ‘Redesigning a Healthy ME – The TA and CBT Way’ (Oct 2007) and ‘Using TA to Enhance Relationships’ (Nov 2011).

​Kenneth Kwa | Auditor
Kenneth holds a Master of Counselling (Advanced) and a Certificate in Family Therapy Interventions from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.  He is a certified Transactional Analysis Practitioner (TAP) in private practice and a member of the USATAA. He is also a provisional clinical member with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), an associate member of William Glasser Institute, and Association of Christian Counselor member. Kenneth is an active volunteer in his community and prior professional background includes logistics and operations management.
