Working with the Unconscious Process emerging in the therapeutic dyad
with Chitra Ravi
26 February 2024

Have you had a situation wherein something is repetitively happening with a client? It leaves you wondering "What's possibly going on that I'm not in tune with or even struggling with?" Some unconscious processes that emerge in the therapeutic dyad can be facilitative and some potentially destructive.
This workshop seeks to explore a few models and tools, and provide a map in becoming aware of them and see how they can be applied at work. Participants will be encouraged to share in breakout rooms and bring examples from their own clinical or counselling contexts. At every stage, the key insights and learnings can be shared in the plenary.
Key learning outcomes and takeaways:
• Learn about one's own transference in key relationships.
• Explore how one's Countertransference can be facilitative or destructive
• Co-creative relating in the therapeutic relationship: the 'real I-You relationship'
A certificate of participation will be presented by TAA Singapore with 3 CPE-hours
Who should attend?
The workshop is suitable for trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. Ideally, trainees will have completed some basic counselling skills training and be either ready to or almost ready to commence clinical practice. Recommended for TA practitioners, Psychotherapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers.
